Celebrating 24 years in Irving!

Organized by DCET and the City of Irving

 

"Cinco de Mayo" Multicultural Festival

Mission:
To celebrate diversity and gain a greater awareness of the cultural and historical treasures within our city of Irving while making our Festival enjoyable through educational and information, as well as music, dance and food.

 

WHAT:   "Cinco de Mayo" in Irving supports DCET's Literacy programs and high school senior students with scholarships toward college! 

 

WHO: Join The City of Irving with DCET in celebration of “Cinco de Mayo” Multicultural Festival-Health and Educational Fair.

 

HOW: This is a FREE event with all day Health Screenings, Multicultural Entertainment, Kids' activities, Arts and Crafts, Free Blood Pressure Screenings, Glucose, and Cholesterol testing with onsite results and referrals — FREE Mammogram exams by Parkland Hospital - Free health tools and Raffle items given away to adults and children while they last!

Entertainment galore featuring music and a vast array of dancers from Mexican ballet to folklorico, Mariachis and Indian and African Dancers!

 

The goal of this event is to promote education, healthy lifestyles and alternative resources for the family; featuring community non-profits, county/state agencies, and retail vendors along with our traditional/cultural arts/craft/food vendors — all in an alcohol-free environment.
